Privacy Policy

Effective: 10.08.2026

Pedalmath is a free set of cycling calculators and an iOS app. We try to keep our privacy posture as simple as possible: don't collect what we don't need.

What we collect

We do not collect any personal information about you. There are no accounts, no signups, no email addresses, no names, no payment data — because we don't need them to make the calculators work.

What stays in your browser

The calculators remember your preferences using your browser's local storage:

This data stays in your browser and is never sent to us. You can clear it any time via your browser's settings.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit the site and from which countries. This data is collected on our hosting platform's edge — not in your browser — and does not include personal information. No analytics cookies are set on your device.

Vercel's privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

Cookies

We don't set any cookies. We don't use tracking pixels, advertising networks, social-media buttons, or third-party tags.

The iOS app

The Pedalmath app for iPhone and iPad works without an account and without a server: there is no backend, the app sends your data nowhere, and it works fully offline. Everything you put into it — bikes, rides, service records, calculator settings — is stored only on your device.

Bike photos you pick from your library or take with the camera are saved in the app's storage on the device. We don't upload them and have no access to them.

Service reminders are local notifications: they are produced on the device and sent nowhere.

You can remove the data the same way it appeared: delete a bike or a ride inside the app, or delete the app — its storage goes with it.

Apple Health

If you grant access, the app reads your cycling workouts from Apple Health: date, distance, duration and elevation gain. That is what lets it count each bike's mileage and estimate the wear of the chain, tyres and other components from it.

The app never writes to Apple Health, never sends that data to us or to third parties, never sells it, and never uses it for advertising, marketing or anything other than the calculation described above. Imported rides stay in the app's storage on your device.

You can revoke access at any time: Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Pedalmath. The app keeps working without Health access — mileage can be entered by hand.

Your rights

Since we don't store personal data about you, there's no account to access, correct, or delete on our side. You're in full control of what's stored locally in your browser — clearing your browser's site data wipes everything we'd "know" about you.

Updates

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top will update.
